    Don't wait - Nominate!
The deadline is midnight, June 5th

The annual Volunteer Awards Celebration is your opportunity to highlight an incredible individual or group that has given their time, talents and expertise to better their community. We are asking for your help in sharing our call for nominations, and to help us celebrate our volunteers!

Nominations are now open and the deadline has been extended to midnight on June 5th, 2022.

Over the course of the last year, in the midst of a global pandemic, volunteers across Manitoba have been a beacon of selflessness and optimism. They provided essential services to our most vulnerable citizens, educated and mentored young Manitobans, and supported our frontline healthcare workers. Whether they were able to continue to volunteer in person, or if they made the shift to working virtually, all of our volunteers deserve to be recognized for their exceptional show of solidarity and their commitment to the groups, charities, and non-profit organizations in our province.

Why should I nominate a Volunteer?

    1. By nominating a volunteer, you are helping to recognize these outstanding individuals and community groups for their achievements, their dedication to the community we share and their excellence in volunteerism. It gives others a chance to inspired to action.
    2. The Annual Volunteer Awards Celebration is Manitoba's most prestigious volunteer recognition event, with 10 award categories including the Lieutenant Governor's Community Leadership Awards, the Premier's Volunteer Service Awards, and many others!
    3. Non-profits, charities and community groups gain visibility throughout the awards season as chosen recipients are promoted on Volunteer Manitoba's website, social media platforms, in the press and with a possibility of additional exposure.

How will you celebrate these volunteers?
Juries will convene over the month of June and recipients will be announce late June/early July. You can get updates through this newsletter, our website or following us on Facebook, Instagram or Linkedin.

Over the summer, recipients will be filmed receiving their award alongside invited members of their community, Volunteer Manitoba staff, and the award sponsors. Recipients will also be interviewed about their experiences as a volunteer and share more about the organization and the community work they've done.
Footage will then be used to create the Volunteer Awards Celebration which will be broadcast in early fall. This format gives us a unique opportunity to share as much as we can about the volunteers, the communities they have helped, and the importance of volunteering in today's society.
