Referral Service

Want to Volunteer?

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites them all is that they find volunteering both challenging and rewarding.

Volunteer Referral Service

Every day, agencies around Manitoba post new volunteer opportunities from within their organizations on our website, where individuals can search for a position and apply directly.

We are pleased to offer our free referral service, where we help individuals interested in volunteering to find volunteer roles with these agencies.

Our Referral Service will:

  • Advise you how to effectively search for a role using our Volunteer Opportunities Page.
  • Recommend volunteer roles based on your skills, experience, interests, goals, schedule, or location (please provide this information when emailing us!)

Please note:

  • This is not a matching or placement service. After your referral, you will need to apply to each opportunity of interest independently.
  • The purpose of referrals is to help you find volunteer roles to apply to. If you or someone you know is looking to receive personal assistance (i.e. meal delivery, snow shoveling, tech support, etc.) please call 211 or visit 211 Manitoba instead.

Finding the right place to volunteer takes work and careful consideration, and we have the expertise to help you through the process. For more information contact us at
