Description of Duties:

The Link: Youth and Family Supports is a leading not for profit, youth serving organization providing services to over 10,000 families in Manitoba and currently has opportunities for volunteer Board Members. The Link is currently seeking active, community-minded individuals with experience as finance professionals to sit on our Board of Directors.


Description of duties include but are not limited to the following:



  • Determine and articulate the organization's mission, vision and core values.

  • Recruit and select the organization's chief executive officer.

  • Support and assess the performance of the organization's chief executive officer.

  • Ensure that the organization engages in planning for its future.

  • Determine the set of programs that the organization will deliver to implement its strategies and accomplish its goals and to monitor the performance of these programs to assess their value.

  • Ensure that the organization has financial and other resources adequate to implement its plans.

  • Ensure the effective management and use of the organization's financial and other resources.

  • Enhance the organization's credibility and public image.

  • Ensure organizational integrity and accountability.

  • Assess and develop the board's own effectiveness.


The Directors provide governance to a dynamic organization dedicated to offering a range of community and clinical resources that support crisis intervention, safe spaces, primary care, counseling and healing services to the youth, adults and families that we walk alongisde.
