| Description of Duties: | We are looking for Bishop Grandin Greenway enthusiasts interested in helping with outdoor maintenance, planting, assisting at events or joining our board of directors. Formed in 2000, Bishop Grandin Greenway Inc. (BGG) is a not-for-profit registered charity in south Winnipeg consisting of community-minded volunteers who are committed to create, enhance, and conserve an accessible network of nature areas and public pathways along Bishop Grandin Boulevard between the Seine and Red River. We want to inspire our community to Get Outside, Get Active and enjoy our community. |
| Skills Required: | Passion for our organization's mission and a desire to make a positive impact in the community. Some events include our annual Spring clean up, plant and tree maintenance, weeding, general repairs. Must be comfortable working outdoors during the summer months. Interest in plants and the environment is an asset. Have the ability to collaborate and work with a team Organize and attend community events, workshops, and meetings to promote our organization and build relationships with community members. |
