| Organizational Description: | My name is Narendra Kaur, and I am working as Community Liaison Worker at Varennes under Louis Riel school division and looking help for specific grant which can help us to run our program at school. The specific grant one I am looking for that is there any grant which pay for salaries for hired person in kitchen under lunch, breakfast program for our community. As we have hard time to find volunteer and as per our school community food demand, workload is too much and need extra hand for couple hour in kitchen so willing to apply for volunteer. |

| Description of Duties: | Our school is a K-8 French Immersion school located near the Superstore on St. Annes Road near Fermor. We are looking for volunteers who can help with food preparation in the kitchen, under supervision and guidance. Our school is a community school and we provide fruit, lunch bags and healthy snacks to students. We therefore need help to prepare meals in the kitchen for at least 2-3 hours a day, 2-3 days a week, particularly on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
NOTE: It's a permanent, year-round opportunity. |
| Skills Required: | Well known about food & equipment handling in the kitchen if volunteer have FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATION than awesome but it's not mandatory as volunteers are working under supervision. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | People interested to work in the school environment and the school community are welcome to work with us. School related careers such as canteen or Lunch supervisor, crossing guard and educational assistant at school. |
