  We are excited to share that the 39th Annual Volunteer Awards will be broadcast via CTV on October 1st at 7pm CST!

  Together with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, we are thrilled for this opportunity to highlight the recipients of the 39th Annual Volunteer Awards.

  Over the course of the last two years, during a global pandemic, volunteers across Manitoba have been a beacon of selflessness and optimism. They provided essential services to our most vulnerable citizens, educated and mentored young Manitobans, and supported our frontline healthcare workers. Whether they were able to continue to volunteer in person, or if they made the shift to working virtually, all our volunteers deserve to be recognized for their exceptional show of solidarity and their commitment to the groups, charities, and non-profit organizations in our province.

  Join us on October 1^st and together let's celebrate our volunteers and let them know that we appreciate their time and their dedication to the thousands of groups, organizations and charities here in Manitoba!

  We invite you all to help us celebrate our volunteers all next week, September 26 to 29, in the lead up to the broadcast of the Annual Volunteer Awards!

  So many of you took the time to submit a nomination on behalf of an incredible volunteer, or volunteer group. Your efforts honour the contributions that individuals and groups have made to enrich the lives of Manitobans. We want to thank you all for taking the time to share your stories of the volunteers who are giving back across our province.

  Next week, from Monday to Thursday, we encourage you to share your volunteer's story on social media and tag/share it with us. Volunteer Manitoba will be sharing all the posts we see tagged in our stories all week and together we will celebrate our volunteers!

  Below you'll find suggested social media content you can use to celebrate volunteers next week. Feel free to adapt or customize the suggested posts to suit your needs and organization.

  These Canva.com templates are easy to use! Just open in your Canva account (free to use if you don't already have an account) and:
  1. Drag and drop a photo of your awesome volunteer into the frame (or you can use the Canva upload tool). The photo will fill the bottom area of the image.
  2. Double click to adjust the placement of your photo.
  3. Use the Share button on the top right of your screen to download a jpeg for your social media feed.
  4. OR just download the volunteerism quotes by using the share button on the top right of the screen, select image 2 or 3 (or both!).
  5. Don't forget to tag us @VolunteerManitoba and we'll share your post on our Stories feed!
