Description of Duties:

Brandon Polar Plunge


Registration Volunteer:


Welcome participants, collect pledges, and help count donations. Be the friendly face that gets the event started!



  • Location: Healthy Living Centre, Brandon University

  • Date: March 7, 2026

  • Time: TBD

  • Check-in: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early

  • What to wear: Dress warmly for outdoor conditions
   
Skills Required:

  • Enthusiastic and friendly with strong customer service skills

  • Experience collecting payments and handling cash or electronic transactions

  • Comfortable interacting with participants, families, and staff

  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

  • Customer service and communication skills from interacting with participants and families

  • Cash handling and basic financial transaction experience

  • Organization and attention to detail in managing forms, waivers, and registrations

  • Time management and multitasking in a busy program environment

  • Teamwork and collaboration with staff and other volunteers

  • Problem-solving and adaptability when addressing questions or issues
