Organizational Description: The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's (WRHA) Community Health and Corporate Services Volunteer Program provides meaningful public engagement, develops effective partnerships, mobilizes appropriate volunteer and community resources, supports a positive working environment and enhances the WRHA's capacity to support and deliver quality services.

Volunteers are placed in the community, supporting a variety of programs within Public Health, Primary Care and Corporate.

Description of Duties:

  • Scan dental charts as directed by dental clinic staff, mark each as scanned.

  • Retrieving and filing patient records (paper charts) from the chart room.

  • Assist patients with completing patient satisfaction/feedback surveys

  • Welcome patients attending appointments as needed.

  • Call and verify current address and contact information for clients as directed by staff.

  • Assist patients with filling out medical history forms as needed.

  • Inform and guide patients through online Canada Dental Benefit application as needed.

Shifts: Mondays (9am to 12pm) or Fridays (9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm) - successful applicants assigned one shift weekly


Length of Commitment: A minimum commitment of 6 months preferred.
