| Description of Duties: | Access to Therapy is building a year-round Manitoba Events Committee to plan and run seasonal fundraising events that support free counselling for low-income Manitobans. We are recruiting Event Coordinators to work under the Committee Chair and alongside a team of volunteers to help make each event happen. Event Coordinators are the hands-on contributors who assist with planning, logistics, sponsorship outreach, research, communication, and the general workload needed to bring events to life. Event Coordinators attend monthly Zoom meetings, with additional meetings during busy event months. They help brainstorm and refine event ideas, assist with researching venues and equipment, search for potential sponsors, prepare basic cost information, help with timelines and checklists, and communicate with other volunteers as needed. They may also assist with simple marketing tasks, prepare outreach lists, and help with on-site event support if they are local. Event Coordinators provide updates to the Committee Chair and contribute to building repeatable systems and processes for future events. Their work is essential in turning ideas into real community events. |
| Skills Required: | Volunteers should have an interest in event planning or community organizing, be reliable and organized, and be comfortable collaborating online. Strong communication skills and the ability to complete small tasks independently are important. Experience with event logistics, sponsorship outreach, Manitoba community spaces, or tools like Google Docs is helpful but not required. |
