Description of Duties:

Duties vary depending on the role you sign-up for. Roles include:


- Ticket Checker (confirm attendee tickets)


- Glove Runner (exchange used and new gloves for boxers)


- Gloving Table Attendant (clean & organize gloves)


- Ring Set-up Helper (assist with set-up of boxing ring)


- Ring Takedown Helper (assist with tear down of boxing ring)


- 50/50 Ticket Seller (exchange money for tickets)


- Event Runner (assist as needed, hand out pamphlets, clean as needed, etc)

   
Skills Required:

Skills vary depending on the role you sign-up for. Roles include:


- Ticket Checker (attention to detail, personable, honest, access to smart phone)


- Glove Runner (attention to detail, organized, good communication skills)


- Gloving Table Attendant (attention to detail, organized, good communication skills, following cleaning protocols)


- Ring Set-up Helper (physically fit, teamwork, follow directions, understanding of basic tools like screwdrivers/wrenches)


- Ring Takedown Helper (physically fit, teamwork, follow directions, understanding of basic tools like screwdrivers/wrenches)


- 50/50 Ticket Seller (honest, integrity, math skills, personable, outgoing)


- Event Runner (personable, good communication skills)

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

Gain an understanding of how an amateur boxing competition functions, build teamwork, and communication skills. This is a great event for those interested in event management, retail, hospitality, sport organization, competitive sports, and more.

Competition takes place from November 26th to 29th. Wednesday to Friday have two sessions each (afternoon & evening), while Saturday has one session. Each shift is 2.5 hours, with set-up and take-down shifts being 3 hours. Volunteers are welcome to sign-up for one session or multiple, over one or more days.
