| Description of Duties: | Sexual Assault Recovery and Healing (SARAH) Crisis Volunteers provide support and advocacy to those who have been impacted by sexualized violence. To "sit with" survivors and discuss their medical and legal options, resources available to them and provide advocacy if needed. To validate survivors in their feelings in a trauma informed way. |
| Skills Required: | A reliable vehicle and willing to travel around the Interlake-Eastern region of Manitoba. To be able to respond emphatically & compassionately to folks. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | 40 hours of trauma informed training is provided to learn medical & legal options, emphatic listening, compassionate responding, trauma responses and more. |
| Age: | 18-30, 31-54, 55+ |
| Time Commitment: | Daytime , Evening , Weekend , Flexible Hours Training weekends are November 15 & 16, 2025 & November 29 & 30, 2025. Both weekends are mandatory to attend. First weekend is in person in Selkirk. Second weekend is online via Google Meets. |
