Organizational Description: Student Catalyst Gateway (SCG) is a purpose-driven, tech-enabled not-for-profit start-up dedicated to reimagining the transition from education to employment for post-secondary students, with a core focus on Indigenous, International, and Racialized learners.

SCG provides personalized, culturally responsive, and affordable support services including career coaching, interview preparation, immigration and settlement guidance, financial literacy education, and well-being counselling. By blending AI-powered tools with human-centred coaching, we deliver scalable, equity-informed solutions such as our FutureProof eModules, wraparound counselling, and career readiness programming. Our mission is to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive, moving beyond one-size-fits-all career advice to create meaningful pathways from education to the world of work.

What You'll Do


As a Student Ambassador, you will:



  • Represent SCG at employer events and recruitment fairs

  • Engage with students and promote SCG's services on campus and online

  • Use social media to build awareness and spark interest in our programs

  • Coordinate and deliver presentations, workshops, and info sessions

  • Leverage your interpersonal skills to connect with and inspire your peers

Qualifications



  • Interpersonal Skills and Communication Skills

  • Experience with Presentations and Education

  • Proficiency in Social Media management and engagement

  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by equity-deserving students

  • Passion for student advocacy and support

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment

  • Previous volunteer experience is a plus
