Organizational Description: St.Amant is a comprehensive resource for Manitobans with developmental disabilities, and autism.

We are a not-for-profit organization that offers a wide range of programs and services to support individuals and their families.

St.Amant programs include a large residence for complex-care, more than 50 community sites and homes, the St.Amant Research Centre, the St.Amant School and River Road Child Care, a community child-care centre. We offer effective programs for children with autism and also for families who care for an individual with a developmental disability at home.

We strive to enhance the quality of life and self-determination for the thousands of individuals and families we serve each year. We are also a member of the Catholic Health Network.

Description of Duties:

Are you interested in making a positive impact on the lives of young people with Autism or related disabilities? We're looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team for an exciting program focused on independent living skills!


As a Youth Mentor, you'll serve as a relatable role model for adolescents, sharing your experiences and helping guide them through the challenges of transitioning to adulthood. Mentors participate in group sessions on topics like money management, cooking, home safety, mental health, and wellness.

   
Skills Required:

What You Need:



  • Minimum 18 years old

  • Responsible, reliable, and mature

  • Comfortable speaking in front of a group

  • Interested in building meaningful relationships

  • Must pass Criminal Record, Adult Abuse Registry, and Child Abuse Registry checks (if 18+)

  • Provide references
