Description of Duties: | Volunteer Website Developer Needed - Help Cats Find Homes! |
Skills Required: | Brief Description of our need • Experience in web design/development (any platform is welcome!) Technical Skills ● Web Design & Development: Proficiency with website builders (like WordPress), understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with content management systems (CMS) ● Digital Marketing: Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve search rankings, social media management to promote animals and events, and understanding of online advertising helps reach a wider audience. ● Graphic Design: Basic graphic design skills to create appealing visuals for the website and social media can significantly improve user engagement. SOFT SKILLS ● Compassion for animals. Understanding and sharing the feelings of animals in need and the people who want to help them is fundamental to the mission. ● Communication: The ability to clearly and effectively communicate with other volunteers, donors, and the public is essential for project success and organizational coordination. ● Problem-Solving: Volunteers must be able to identify and resolve issues that arise during the website development process or with online content. ● Teamwork: Building and maintaining a rescue website is a collaborative effort, requiring volunteers to work well with a team of other volunteers. ● Time Management: Organizing tasks and managing one's time effectively is crucial to ensure that the project is completed efficiently and meets deadlines. |
