Description of Duties:

The Food Truck Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the sale and handling of food and beverage products provided for guests at Pride Winnipeg's Forks Festival events. This includes managing food vendors, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining compliance with all relevant food and liquor laws.


Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Assist the Forks Festival Director and event managers in the creation of the concession application, food village setup plan, and Beer and Beverage Tent setup.

  • Distribute and manage applications to concessionaires and serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors.

  • Guide concessionaires through the application process and provide ongoing support.

  • Manage concession fees and related documentation to ensure compliance.

  • Coordinate arrival schedules and setup times for all concessionaires to ensure efficient operations.

  • Collaborate with the Queer Beer Coordinator to manage Queer Beer sales during events.

  • Obtain necessary liquor and food permits to ensure event compliance with regulations.

  • Oversee the setup, operation, and teardown of food and beverage areas at events.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety practices and all relevant food and liquor laws.

  • Supervise the Concessions Manager and Beverage Manager to ensure smooth event operations.

   
Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of basic food safety practices and food handling regulations.

  • Experience managing cash floats and handling financial transactions.

  • Previous experience in hospitality or food service is required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse groups.

  • Proven relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain positive vendor relations before, during, and after events.

  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve on-site issues quickly, including equipment, placement, and logistical challenges.

  • Ability to liaise with technical, facilities, and operations teams to coordinate solutions.

  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.

  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work well in a team environment.
