Description of Duties:

Volunteers for the FP Youth Kitchen Community Workshop on August 27, 2025 will play a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging environment for youth. Duties may include:




  • Assisting with event setup and cleanup of the kitchen and workshop space



  • Helping prepare, portion, and serve food to participants



  • Supporting facilitators during cooking demonstrations or activities



  • Welcoming and registering participants upon arrival



  • Assisting with youth well-being and mental health activities, such as the Cooking & Connection: Mindful Kitchen Challenge, encouraging mindfulness, teamwork, and gratitude during the cooking process



  • Ensuring a safe, and organized working environment



  • Engaging with youth participants in a respectful, inclusive, and uplifting manner



  • Collecting feedback forms and assisting with basic event documentation

  • Ability to work well with youth in a respectful and inclusive manner



  • Strong communication and teamwork skills



  • Willingness to assist with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks



  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment
