| Organizational Description: | Step back in time by taking a tour through Neepawa and surrounding areas Beautiful Plains Museum. Established in 1976, then relocated from Viscount School to the CNR Station. This Heritage Railway Station was built 1902 and has been home to the museum since 1981. Throughout the three floors of the station you will see a general store, medical hall, log cabin, chapel and much more. |

| Description of Duties: | Being a volunteer may include: greeting/assisting with group tours; helping identify landmarks, historical artifacts and people; preparing displays for visitors by turning on/off the lights; tidying stray dress-up clothes; and answering the phone and relaying messages to the main curators. |
| Skills Required: | Beautiful Plains Museum is looking for those who have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn and can easily adapt to situations. We would be grateful for those who have a passion for history or the past as this will help with identifying community donated artifacts and supporting our curators with their tours. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | By working at our museum, you can achieve skills such as artifact handling, research, public speaking, and event management. With these skilled gains, you are also improving your teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities! |

| Time Commitment: | Daytime , Weekend , Flexible Hours Beautiful Plains Museum is looking for volunteers primarily to cover for Sunday afternoons from 1pm -5pm starting July until August! |
