The Discipline Committee does not typically meet as a full group. Instead, its members form a pool from which panels are selected when a professional discipline hearing is required.

Panel appointments are made after confirming committee members' availability for the hearing dates.

Hearings related to the conduct or competence of Manitoba's LPNs are infrequent, making the time commitment difficult to predict. Some committee members may go several years without being appointed to a panel.

Most hearings are held on weekdays and may take place either online or in person. In-person hearings are conducted in Winnipeg.

An honorarium is provided to those who participate on a discipline panel.
