As members of our Festival community, we all play an important role in the success of the Winnipeg Folk Festival. We bear a responsibility to ourselves, to others and to the organization to uphold the following standards of conduct:

Workplace Violence, Harassment and Abuse Policy

Every volunteer of the Winnipeg Folk Festival has the right to work in an environment free from violence, harassment and abuse, and the WFF is committed to providing a respectful and safe workplace for all.

The Winnipeg Folk Festival takes the reporting of incidents of violence, harassment and abuse very seriously. Anyone found to have committed an act of violence, harassment or abuse during their engagement with the Festival will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

The WFF encourages individuals to try to resolve issues directly as they arise, with or without assistance from their supervisor. However, the WFF recognizes that in some cases this may not be possible, appropriate or effective, and a formal complaint may be made.

For more information, a complete version of the WFF's Workplace Violence, Harassment and Abuse Policy will be posted at the Festival office, at the Site Office backstage on the Festival site, and on the Festival's website.
