| Organizational Description: | Ted's Run for Literacy was established in 2010 following the death of Ted Swain on May 3rd, 2009. Ted was a passionate teacher of English at Vincent Massey Collegiate in Winnipeg. He was also a dedicated running coach who nurtured hundreds of novice runners. Ted is remembered fondly by the running community with whom he identified to his last step. To date, Ted's Run for Literacy has raised almost $100,000 to help break the cycle of childhood poverty. | Description of Duties: | Responsible for coordinating and assisting setup of Start/Finish area of Ted's Run for Literacy leading up to and on September 28th, 2025. Managing or delegating dry clothes drop-off/pickup at the race. |

| Time Commitment: | Evening , Weekend , Flexible Hours Time commitment is attending committee meetings during the planning stages - once per month on weeknight in May, June, August. Attend planning meetings more frequently in September leading up to the race. Must attend on race day at Kildonan Park to perform duties. A few hours on your own time will be required leading up the planning of the race to organize setup for the start/finish area as well as the dry clothes drop-off. |
