Description of Duties:

As a valued member of the Fall For Fashion Committee, you will play a key role in organizing our signature yearly fundraiser-Fall For Fashion. This elegant Gala dinner features a dynamic fashion show, showcasing local designers and models, including guest models from Inclusion Winnipeg.


Committee Roles


There are two primary roles on the committee:




  • Chair (or Co-Chairs): The Chair will lead the committee, ensuring tasks stay on schedule, and collaborating closely with the Inclusion Winnipeg team. In addition to providing strategic direction and vision for the event, the Chair may be asked to speak on behalf of the committee at the event or in media interviews (radio/TV). You will also assist in recruiting new committee members.



  • Committee Member: As a committee member, you'll support the event planning process by actively engaging with your network to secure sponsorships, prizes, and ticket/table sales. You'll also help choose the event theme, coordinate décor, and promote the event via social media and personal networks.



Key Responsibilities for All Committee Members:




  • Sponsorship & Prize Procurement: Reach out to your network to secure sponsorships, donations for prizes, and ticket/table sales.



  • Event Promotion: Help promote the event on social media, and within your close circles.



  • Event Planning Support:




    • Assist with choosing the event theme and décor.



    • Contribute to the creation of the seating plan.



    • Help with the selection of the menu.




  • Day-of Event Tasks: Support with setting up décor, overseeing event logistics, and assisting with various tasks during the event.

Time Commitment:




  • Meetings: Up to 8 meetings prior to the event, held for 2 hours each, either in person or virtually.



  • Additional Hours: A few hours per week or month to prospect new contacts for sponsorship, prizes, tickets, or tables.



  • Post-Event: Assist with event wind-up activities, including thanking sponsors and partners.
