| Description of Duties: | Creative Retirement Manitoba, Inc. is a non-profit registered charity with a mission to provide affordable lifelong learning to older adults. We are looking for board members who love to learn and believe in the importance of lifelong learning. This is a working board with members taking on roles to support the operations. We are seeking board members to fill recent vacancies. |
| Skills Required: | No particular skills are required other than basic computer knowledge such as using email and the internet. As the primary duty of a board member is to assist with program planning, someone who is interested in learning, reading or self-education in an informal sense is ideal. No formal education is required, our board members have all levels of education from high school to university degrees. What they share is a love of learning. Program planning assistance involves helping the staff to fine quality presenters and instructors. Staff will make contact and follow-up with presenters, board members are asked only to pass along contact information or suggestions. |
