| Description of Duties: | Seeking dedicated and knowledgeable members for our volunteer Board of Directors. The Board meets virtually once monthly from September - June and guides the direction of the agency to influence the support available for survivors. The Board meets virtually once monthly from September - June and guides the direction of the agency to influence the support available for survivors. Current openings are for a Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, as well as Members at Large. The mandate of Survivor's Hope Crisis Centre is providing hope and healing for those impacted by sexual violence in Interlake-Eastern Manitoba. Programs of Survivor's Hope include:

| Skills Required: | Members come from diverse backgrounds including, but not limited to, mental health, youth and school support, community work, and Indigenous knowledge. No previous experience on a Board required. Reliability, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are an asset. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Working on the development of a non-profit organization focused on survivors and victims of crimes, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and exploitation. Policy development. Financial review. Organizational skills. Non-profit management experience. |

| Time Commitment: | Evening , Remote Volunteering The Board of Directors meets once monthly, by virtual means, September through June. Typically meetings are held at 6:00pm. Commitments outside of meeting times are variable and may be opted out of. |
