Description of Duties: | CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is looking for volunteers for their biggest fundraising event, Challenge for Life, on Saturday June 1st at Assiniboine Park. They are looking for individuals, groups, and families to cheer on participants as they push through the final moments of their 20k or 5k walk. A celebration of funds raised, physical challenges met, and the coming together of community to change the course of cancer in our province, this crew is essential to their event. |
Skills Required: | Volunteers must be friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and able to stand for several hours in an outdoor setting. |
Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Opportunity to support and impact those living with cancer and their families. Give back to the community and make a difference. |
Age: | 12 and under, 13-15, 16-17, 18-30, 31-54, 55+ |
Time Commitment: | Daytime , Flexible Hours The walkers will return between 9:30-2:30. Volunteers can stay for at least 4 hours within that time. |
