Description of Duties:

As a HSDE project writer Coordinator, your duties and responsibilities would typically include:


1. Research and Analysis:


- Research and identify potential projects aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
- Analyze data, reports, and information to identify gaps, needs, and opportunities for project development.


2. Proposal Development:
- Write compelling project proposals and grant applications to secure funding from donors and partners.
- Develop project budgets, timelines, and work plans in collaboration with the project team.


3. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with program managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather input and insights for project proposals.
- Coordinate with finance, monitoring, and evaluation teams to ensure alignment of project proposals with organizational goals and requirements.


4. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Collect and analyze data to measure project effectiveness and report on results to stakeholders and donors.


5. Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare reports, updates, and progress summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate project achievements, challenges, and lessons learned to inform decision-making and strategy development.


6. Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, regulations, and reporting guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, expenses, and outcomes for accountability and transparency.


7. Capacity Building:
- Provide training and support to staff members on project writing best practices and techniques.
- Build the capacity of the organization to develop strong project proposals and secure funding for sustainable impact.


8. Networking and Relationship Building:
- Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to promote projects and build networks for collaboration.

1. Excellent Writing Skills: Strong writing skills are crucial for crafting clear, concise, and compelling project proposals, reports, and other written materials for diverse audiences, including donors, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.


2. Research Skills: Proficiency in conducting thorough research to gather relevant data, information, and evidence to support project development, funding applications, and needs assessments.


3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex information, identify patterns and trends, and draw insights to inform project planning, decision-making, and problem-solving.


4. Project Management Skills: understanding of project management principles and practices, including project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.


5. Financial Acumen: Familiarity with budgeting, financial planning, and accounting principles to develop accurate project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and financial regulations.


6. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, information, and project concepts to diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, and beneficiaries.


7. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders through effective collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution.


8. Creativity and Innovation: Capacity to think creatively and generate innovative ideas for project design, implementation strategies, and fundraising approaches to address complex challenges and achieve project goals.


9. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy and consistency in project documentation, including proposals, reports, budgets, and other written materials.


10. Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate for this position should have experience in project writing or equivalent experience.
