Description of Duties:

Help bring back a Winnipeg tradition! More than 35 years ago a group of dedicated volunteers got together to plan a fun and educational day for kids - Teddy Bears' Picnic. The event has welcomed over 1 million children and their bears to learn that the hospital is a helpful place, making kids feel comfortable in healthcare settings.


This exciting family event relies on volunteers. Be part of the 35th annual Teddy Bears' Picnic by sharing your time and talent. Roles include helping with activities, set up, guest services, entertainment and more!

   
Skills Required:

Duties will vary depending on volunteers' interests (indicate interests on volunteer application) and include monitoring line ups at tents; kids' activities like face painting and crafts; event runners; providing event information; customer service; set up and clean up.

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

Skills include organization, customer service, working with the community and kids, technology and more depending on what roles volunteers are interested in.
