The volunteer run and non-profit Henteleff Park Foundation is dedicated to caring for the Park through restoration and conservation of its lands, plants, and wildlife; partnership with the community; education about its existing ecology and many layered human and ecological history.

Description of Duties:

Prairie Pals remove and dispose of invasive weeds from our 1.5 acre prairie restoration. Orientation is provided.

Skills Required:

A knowledge of gardening and weed identification is essential. Ability to differentiate between weeds and native plants. Ability to follow instructions, kneel or bend to pick weeds, lift and dispose of weeds.

Skills Gained/Related Careers:

This is an excellent opportunity to get fresh air and exercise and contribute to the maintenance of this special environment.

Time Commitment:

Volunteers work every 7 - 10 days at a time that is convenient to them
