| Organizational Description: | Henteleff Park is 50 acres of natural beauty located at 1964 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg. The primary goal of the Henteleff Park Foundation is the preservation and enhancement of the unique landscape of the Park by planting indigenous trees and shrubs and removing invasive species of plants. The Foundation also maintains trails and provides both historical and natural history interpretation. The Park is a space where people can experience birds and other wildlife, enjoy the riparian forest, appreciate the history of the land, and participate in park re-naturalization through a variety of volunteer opportunities. |

| Volunteer Opportunity Details | |
| Description of Duties: | Volunteers remove and dispose of invasive weeds throughout the Park. Work at your own pace, choose your own hours. Orientation is provided. This is a good opportunity for people who want to learn about the environment and work outdoors. |
| Skills Required: | Ability to follow directions, bend over or kneel to pull weeds, lift and dispose of weeds. |
| Skills Gained/Related Careers: | Volunteers will learn more about native prairie plants, get fresh air and exercise and contribute to the maintenance of this special environment. |

| Time Commitment: | Daytime, Evening, Weekend After an orientation, choose your own days and hours, working at your own pace. |
