Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties: Our Winnipeg group is looking for a co-leader to support volunteers taking advocacy action against extreme poverty around the world.

Results believes that no one should suffer or die from preventable diseases or lack opportunities, and that Canada must be part of the solution. By targeting the right people in power at the right time, we generate conversation about how Canada can do its share internationally.

We connect volunteers to a group that takes advocacy action - writing to the media, voicing their opinion on social media, and engaging with parliamentarians at the federal level. The aim is to guide Canada's government towards decisions that give people living in extreme poverty the health, education, and economic opportunity they need to thrive. Volunteers also raise public awareness and help move your community into action beyond our borders.

Group Leaders are responsible for leading and facilitating the meetings and activities of their local Results volunteer group. They are the point of contact for all group volunteers and they are essential to ensuring the group is sustainable and volunteers are receiving the support they need and taking action.
