Description of Duties:

Facilitating an English conversation group class for newcomers.

   
Skills Required:


Must be fluent in English


For online classes - experience using Zoom


Adult EAL/ESL teaching experience


EAL Teacher Certification (e.g., Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language - CTESL) preferred


Other teaching experience will be considered


Ability to work with individuals from diverse ethno-cultural backgrounds


Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Must have strong time management and organization skills

Online classes take place via Zoom


In-person classes take place at the Immigrant Centre


Time Commitment Required


2 hours weekly for three months


Classes are scheduled Mondays to Thursdays (morning, afternoon, and evening), and Fridays and Saturdays (morning and afternoon)


Must be available consistently on the same day and time each week
