Organizational Description: Bookmates is a Manitoba based non-profit charitable organization established in 1984. We promote and support family literacy and inter-generational learning through a variety of activities: we develop family literacy and learning programs; we train people to facilitate programs for families in their communities; we deliver programs for parents and children in partnership with community organizations and we promote awareness of the importance of literacy and learning in the early years.

Description of Duties:

Bookmates' Board members support our work providing family literacy programs and resources through providing organizational governance, acting as ambassadors for the organization and promoting our fund development initiatives.
   
Skills Required:

We are currently seeking Board members with marketing, business or fundraising skills and experience.
If you are interested in contributing to supporting our work enhancing the literacy skills of the next generation as a member of our Board, we would love to hear from you.
