Looking to strengthen your volunteer program? This interactive workshop is designed to help non-profit organizations in Swan River and surrounding communities recruit, retain, and support volunteers more effectively.
Led by Volunteer Manitoba, in partnership with Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre, this session will explore the 3 Rs of Volunteer Engagement - Risk Management, Recruitment, and Retention. You'll learn how to create safe and supportive volunteer environments. Plus how to attract the right people to your cause and keep them motivated through meaningful recognition.
We will offer practical tools and real-world examples to help you build a strong volunteer base. Whether you're just getting started or looking to refresh your approach, this workshop will help you reimagine how volunteers contribute to your mission.

Facilitator
Kamillah El-Giadaa holds a degree in Recreation Management and Community Development from the University of Manitoba. As the Training and Development Manager at Volunteer Manitoba, she supports the sector by coordinating professional development opportunities for the non-profit sector. Kamillah has dedicated her career to working with volunteers at various organizations and, most recently, helped Actionmarguerite, a long-term care home, build their volunteer program. She is passionate about empowering volunteers through knowledge!

Course Cancellation Policy
Volunteer Manitoba may decide to cancel or postpone any event where the minimum registration level has not been met. In the case of low in-person registration, Volunteer Manitoba may decide to host the workshop virtually instead. If you wish to not participate virtually, you will receive a full refund.
All participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Volunteer Manitoba will receive a full refund.
Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received within 10 days of the event. Registered participants who fail to attend an event are still required to pay for that event, since a space was held specifically for that person. In case of non-attendance and lack of payment, the registered participant will be invoiced for the full fee, due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
