Pandemic Recovery Webinar

October 05, 2021
12:00 PM to 01:00 PM

As COVID-19 restrictions change and mandates are made, many are feeling unsure on what they can and can't do at their organization. We are excited to partner with lawyer Scott J. Hoeppner to offer an informational webinar focusing on COVID-19 and the laws surrounding what organizations ask of employees, volunteers and participants.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Background on the laws applicable to vaccination policies
  • The risks involved in implementing vaccination policies
  • Strategies/options for vaccination policies

Who should attend?

Staff and volunteers in the non-profit sector looking to understand COVID-19 mandates and restrictions.

Facilitator:

Scott Hoeppner's practice is focused primarily on the areas of labour and employment law, providing advice on employment and labour relations matters, terminations, wrongful dismissals, grievance arbitrations and proceedings before labour boards and human rights tribunals.

While continuing to provide services and advice in those areas, in 2018 Scott returned to the communities of Morden and Winkler, in order to manage the TDS offices in those locations. As a result, Scott is practicing more broadly, also providing services and advice in the areas of corporate and commercial law, in addition to acting a local access point for clients who required any specialized services and advice available in the TDS Winnipeg office.

Scott spent the summer of 2006 as a summer student with TDS. He returned in the spring of 2007 as an Articling Student-at-Law; became an Associate in June 2008; and became a Partner in 2016.

Technical Requirements:

To participate, you will need a computer/mobile device with internet connection, speakers and microphone.
