Building Your Bridge to Youth Engagement

September 18, 2019
09:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Why engage youth volunteers within your organization or group? Because young people are the future of volunteerism in our communities and they bring a new level of energy and enthusiasm to the table!

Youth have a vital role to play when it comes to the sustainability of the sector, which is experiencing fast-pace change with limited resources to engage new volunteers. Today's youth are volunteering more than any other age group, and they possess a broad range of skills and interests (especially when it comes to technology) that can benefit your programs and services.

When you reflect on your recruitment practices, the challenges of bringing on new volunteers can seem overwhelming. This workshop will explore data and share stories about what is important to young people when they volunteer, as well as the best practices for recruiting and retaining youth volunteers.

Join us for this workshop on youth engagement and learn how you can build a bridge between your organization and the youth who want to volunteer for you!
