Webinar: Board Succession Planning

Board succession planning is essential to good governance as it sets the stage for board engagement, performance and effective leadership. This webinar will provide tips and strategies to prepare for board members leaving the board and have a plan to replace them with the necessary skills to minimize risk and the transition period.

Participants can include Board members, Executive Directors, and anyone who is interested in learning more about this topic.

Facilitator:

Tracy Douglass has been involved in the non-profit sector as a volunteer, employee and consultant. She has sat on boards, participated on committees and volunteered her time to help deliver programs and services within the sector.

She has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and is certified in adult education and distance learning development. She also has over 20 years in the educational field, coordinating, developing and delivering training to both small and large audiences.

Recently, Tracy was a Community Relations Specialist at Manitoba Public Insurance, in the role of Provincial Coordinator for the volunteer-based Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP). She previously worked at Volunteer Manitoba from 2003 through to 2009, but she missed it so much she came back and is now running the training department!
