Website 101 for Non-Profit Organizations (JAN 15/26)

In today's digital world, having a website is essential for not-for-profits in building a digital presence. This beginner-friendly workshop, Website 101, is designed to walk through the fundamental reasons why a website is important, what content it should include, and how to get started with building or refreshing your website.

 

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose and impact of a website for a non-profit organization 2} Identify the core elements every non-profit website should include (mission,programs/services, contact info.}
  • Learn practical and accessible website-building tools (such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress} that for-profits can use.
  • Checklist of how to build and maintain your website in a non-profit.

Technical Requirements to Participate Virtually:

To participate, you will need a computer/mobile device with internet connection, speakers and microphone. A webcam is preferred but optional.

Course Cancellation Policy

Volunteer Manitoba may decide to cancel or postpone any event where the minimum registration level has not been met. In the case of low in-person registration, Volunteer Manitoba may decide to host the workshop virtually instead. If you wish to not participate virtually, you will receive a full refund.

All participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Volunteer Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received within 10 days of the event. Registered participants who fail to attend an event are still required to pay for that event, since a space was held specifically for that person. In case of non-attendance and lack of payment, the registered participant will be invoiced for the full fee, due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
