Once your event is ready for registration, we'll explore various marketing methods to attract a wide audience. To make your event memorable, we'll share creative ideas to make it unique and engaging for your guests.

As the event day approaches, you'll receive practical tips to ensure everything runs smoothly. The workshop includes interactive group activities like small group discussions, case studies, and brainstorming sessions to provide hands-on experience. Learning Objectives

This workshop will provide non-profit leaders and professionals with the tools and confidence they need to take their events to the next level. With the basic knowledge in event planning techniques, attendees will walk away with the practical tools they need to provide exceptional event experiences

Facilitator:

As an event planner with over 10 years experience, Sarah Kirkpatrick has a passion for creating engaging event experiences. Sarah started, and has spent the majority of her career, in the non-profit sector. She brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to the challenges facing non-profit events, and can provide creative solutions to address them. In addition to her current experience in corporate hosting and events, Sarah brings a depth of experience and creativity to planning memorable events.

Course Cancellation Policy

Volunteer Manitoba may decide to cancel or postpone any event where the minimum registration level has not been met. In the case of low in-person registration, Volunteer Manitoba may decide to host the workshop virtually instead. If you wish to not participate virtually, you will receive a full refund.

All participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Volunteer Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received within 10 days of the event. Registered participants who fail to attend an event are still required to pay for that event, since a space was held specifically for that person. In case of non-attendance and lack of payment, the registered participant will be invoiced for the full fee, due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
