Are you, or do you know, a budding volunteer?

Here are a few steps to help get started.

    • Volunteering should be fun. Think about what interests you and what skills you'd like to use while volunteering.
    • Visit the volunteer opportunities page on our website.
    • Carefully read through the description of the organization and the volunteer opportunity to find roles that are a good match to your interests.
    • Apply using the online form or contact information usually located at the bottom of the webpage We suggest applying to at least 3 opportunities to better your chances of getting contacted for an interview or conversation about the opportunity.

Is this a good place to volunteer?
Some things to look for that will tell you if you'll have a good experience are:

    • Does the organization provide orientation and training so you're prepared and set up for success.?
    • Do you know ahead of time if the role requires references and police checks so your application isn't delayed?
    • Does the role mention on-going supervision, follow-up and feedback from the organization so you feel supported in your new role?

We wish you the best in your search for a volunteer opportunity!

Feel free to reach out to us at info@volunteermanitoba.ca if you have any questions.
