Volunteer Recruitment & Training Coordinator

CARE PACK Inc. is a Manitoba-based nonprofit organization developing specialized, operationally trained therapy dog and handler teams to provide compassionate emotional support to first responders, emergency services personnel, and individuals affected by emergencies and traumatic events.

We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and dependable Volunteer Recruitment & Training Coordinator to assist with recruiting, screening, onboarding, and coordinating the training requirements of our volunteer dog and handler teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Review incoming volunteer applications and maintain organized applicant records.


• Communicate with prospective volunteers and coordinate interviews and introductory meetings.


• Assist with scheduling dog and handler suitability assessments.


• Track completion of CARE PACK's six required handler education courses.


• Help coordinate participation in the planned specialized operational canine training program through Training Loyal Companions Academy.


• Maintain accurate records of volunteer training progress, evaluations, certifications, and required documentation.


• Assist with volunteer orientation, onboarding, and ongoing communication.


• Work closely with CARE PACK leadership to identify recruitment and training needs.


• Respect confidentiality and follow CARE PACK's organizational policies and procedures.

• Experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment, training administration, or human resources is an asset but not required


• Interest in animal-assisted support and emergency services is an asset
