Description of Duties:

The Manitoba Alliance of Health Regulatory Colleges (MAHRC) is seeking applications from Manitobans who are interested in becoming members of its Citizen Advisory Group (CAG).

As a CAG Member, you will have an opportunity to share your perspectives, experiences, advice, and feedback from a public perspective, and help support the work of Manitoba's health regulatory colleges in protecting the public interest. MAHRC is committed to establishing a diverse group that reflects the communities we serve. We actively encourage applications from individuals who are part of equity-deserving, marginalized, and/or underrepresented communities.

You do not need to have previous experience with health regulation to apply. In fact, we are looking for individuals who bring diverse perspectives and experiences from across Manitoba. We welcome Manitobans who are interested in contributing their perspectives and helping strengthen public protection.

Please note that, to be eligible for appointment, you cannot currently be involved in an active legal matter with or complaint to a health regulatory college or have been involved in one within the past five years. Individuals who had experience with a health regulatory college more than five years ago are welcome to apply.

CAG Members will meet virtually approximately four times per year and will receive an honorarium in recognition of their time and commitment.

  • Commitment to public service - an interest in helping improve how the health regulatory system serves and protects Manitobans.

  • Respect for confidentiality - ability to handle information shared within the group appropriately.

  • Technology and Virtual Participation

  • Access to a reliable internet connection and a device that supports video conferencing, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

  • Ability to join and participate in virtual meetings using platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

  • Basic ability to use a camera, microphone, and chat functions during meetings.
