Description of Duties:

Volunteer Opportunity: Donor & Community Engagement Volunteer


Are you passionate about Habitat for Humanity Manitoba and enjoy connecting with people? We're looking for a friendly, confident, and enthusiastic volunteer to support our Marketing and Development team by helping strengthen relationships with donors, supporters, and community members.


Position Summary


The Donor & Community Engagement Volunteer plays an important role in helping Habitat connect with current and prospective donors, event participants, and community supporters. This volunteer is comfortable speaking on the phone, believes in Habitat's mission, and enjoys building relationships while helping advance our fundraising and community engagement efforts.


Responsibilities



  • Make phone calls to current and prospective donors.

  • Contact supporters regarding upcoming fundraising and community events.

  • Thank donors for their contributions and share the impact of their support.

  • Assist with event outreach and attendance confirmations.

  • Support Habitat staff at fundraising events and community engagement activities when available.

  • Represent Habitat in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner.

  • Comfortable speaking with a variety of people by phone.

  • Confident discussing donations and fundraising initiatives.

Flexible Hours



Flexible daytime scheduling is available. We are looking for a volunteer who can make an ongoing commitment and participate on a regular basis, ideally bi-weekly or monthly. Consistent involvement helps build relationships with donors and supporters while providing reliable support to our Marketing and Development team. Volunteer schedules can be arranged based on individual availability and organizational needs.
