Description of Duties:	Make a Difference in a Child's Day! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and responsible volunteers to help support children ages 1-6 years old. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fun and supportive environment.

Skills Required:	As a childcare volunteer, you will help create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for young children. Volunteers may assist with play activities, crafts, games, snack time and other age-appropriate activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with children, encourage positive social interactions and support their learning and development through play. Volunteer will need to be able to walk up and down stairs.

Skills Gained/Related Careers:	Experience working with children ages 1-6 Communication and interpersonal skills Leadership and teamwork skills Patience and problem-solving skills Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities Experience planning and participating in children's activities Valuable childcare and volunteer experience for your resume

Age:	13-15, 16-17, 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment:	Evening 6:30-8:00 PM on Tuesday Evenings. Bi-weekly or monthly time commitments are welcome. Program runs: October-December and January-June.

Opportunity is available to candidates that:	Group - small, family and friends Fulfilling volunteer hours for school credit Are able to attend with a support person French speaking / Bilingual (French and English) Speaks another language (other than French or English): Any language.
