Volunteer Opportunity Details

Description of Duties:

  1. Assist clients/residents wishing to attend staff planned events, which are held within the building.

  2. Provide supervision and safety as residents are moved from floors to other areas where activities take place

  3. Converse with clients/visit as they participate in activities

  4. Be part of the team of staff that provide care

  5. Ability to learn with training proper protocols to follow

  6. adhere to the personal health information act
   
Skills Required:

  1. Able to push wheelchairs and assist clients/patients with mobility aaids

  2. Excellent customer Service

  3. Life experience in working with all levels of demographics

  4. Genuine interest in supporting health care

  5. Enjoys musiic and recreational programs
   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

  1. Working in a medical environment

  2. Exposed to complex care clients/patients

  3. Careers towards health care goals.
   
Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment:
Daytime

Flexible commitment with openings available as follows:



  • Music programs: Fridays: 10a.m-12noon or 1:30-3:30pm.

  • Pub nite: Thursdays, 5:30-7:30pm (every 3rd Thursday of the month)
