Description of Duties:

Your Voice Can Help Drive Change.


As a member of the Board you will have the opportunity to: Advocate for the rights, interests, and inclusion of people who are blind, partially sighted, and deafblind, specifically,



  • Help build awareness,

  • Influence change,

  • Support accessibility,

  • Help build a culture of philanthropy, and

  • Review and monitor the financial health of CNIB within Manitoba.

The Strategic Leadership Board is intended to bring together individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, skills and perspectives. You may be a good fit if you have experience or interest in:



  • Advocacy, accessibility & accommodation

  • Public speaking, community engagement, and fundraising

  • Building relationships & partnerships (in particular with the corporate community)

  • Supporting people who are blind, partially sighted, or deafblind


What matters most is your commitment, perspective, connections, and willingness to contibute.

   
Skills Gained/Related Careers:

The Board is looking for Individuals who have experience and skills in related fields such as philanthropy, program evaluation & development, wealth management, marketing, teamwork, and financial understanding.
