Description of Duties:

We invite you to volunteer with us at this year's SuperWalk!


SuperWalk is Parkinson's largest annual fundraiser, raising vital funds for support, advocacy, and research for people living with and impacted by Parkinson's.


The Registration Lead Volunteer helps ensure participants have a smooth, welcoming, and efficient check-in experience at SuperWalk. By overseeing the registration area they help create a positive first impression for walkers, donors, and guests. This role helps keep event-day registration organized, addresses participant questions, and ensures everyone is ready to enjoy and engage in the event. As a one-time opportunity, it is a meaningful way to contribute to the success of SuperWalk and support the Parkinson's community.


What does this role look like?


Key responsibilities of the Registration Lead include:



  • Create a welcoming and organized experience for SuperWalk participants on the event day

  • Represent Parkinson Canada in the best light possible to the community

  • Oversee registration and ensure walkers, donors and guests are checked in efficiently

  • Assist with distribution of event materials, answer questions and resolve registration issues that may arise

  • Take, handle, use, and store any information that is considered personal/private in a manner aligned with the policies and procedures of Parkinson Canada

  • Work cooperatively with all team members, event-day volunteers, and Parkinson Canada staff

   
Skills Required:

What is needed to succeed in this role



  • Friendly and approachable demeanor

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience with participant registration, customer service systems, or data entry is an asset

  • Strong attention to detail when handling participant information and registration records

  • Comfortable using technology and online registration tools to assist participants and manage check-in processes

  • Reliable and dependable

  • Comfortable seeking help when needed

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • An interest in working with Parkinson Canada and with Canadians living with Parkinson's and their families

Time Commitment
The Morden Parkinson Canada SuperWalk is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, with activities taking place between 10:00am and 12:30pm. The time commitment for this opportunity varies according SuperWalk activities and your availability. Registration Leads must be available for the duration of the event. Applicants will be contacted closer to the event to confirm their shift time, role, and event details.
