| Organizational Description: | Forum Art Centre is a community arts centre in the heart of St. Boniface that has been active in Winnipeg for over 60 years! We offer an expanding range of art classes and workshops for adults, teens, preteens, and children (7+) in mediums such as painting, drawing, mixed media, and clay. As a registered charitable organization Forum Art Centre's mission is to be inclusive of anyone wanting to learn about art. By offering youth bursaries, free supplies to youth, a flexible pricing scale for all ages, and outreach art programs, we aim to minimize the barriers in accessing visual arts education. Forum Art Centre also hosts several community art events each year, including student and instructor art shows, markets with local artists, and ongoing art and book sales! |

| Description of Duties: | The Treasurer is an officer of the Forum Art Centre Board of Directors and plays a key role in ensuring the financial health, accountability, and sustainability of the organization. Working collaboratively with the Board, and the Executive Director, the Treasurer provides financial oversight, helps guide sound fiscal decision-making, and ensures the organization meets its financial and legal obligations. This is a volunteer position with a typical commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per month, including attendance at Board meetings and Finance committee meetings as required.
