Description of Duties:

Seeking volunteers for our Pakistan Independence Day Celebration on Friday, August 14, 2026. The event is being organized to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day and promote cultural awareness, community engagement and multiculturalism within Winnipeg. Attendees will enjoy cultural performances, food vendors, local businesses, family-friendly activities and entertainment throughout the event.


Volunteers are needed to assist with the following:


• Event setup and decoration
• Guest welcome and information desk
• Activity and game coordination
• Vendor and booth support
• Crowd assistance and general event support
• Photography and social media coverage
• Event takedown and cleanup after the celebration to help leave the venue clean and organized

   
Skills Required:

• Friendly and positive attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability and punctuality
• Willingness to assist wherever needed
• Ability to lift and move light equipment or supplies is an asset for setup and cleanup roles
• Previous event or volunteer experience is welcome but not required
