| Organizational Description: | Angus McKay Nursery School is a non-profit charity nursery school that has been in operation for over 40 years in the Fraser's Grove area of East Kildonan inside the Angus McKay Elementary School. The main purpose of our nursery school is to provide a safe, friendly atmosphere where children learn through play and through their own sense of wonder. Our goal is to deliver materials, toys and activities that arouse children's curiosity, stimulate their creativity and build independence and confidence. |

| Description of Duties: | Angus McKay Nursery School is a parent-run, non-profit early childhood education organization. We are seeking a dedicated community members to join our volunteer Board of Directors. Board members receive an honorarium in recognition of their service. Incoming officers will train directly alongside the outgoing board member over the summer, before the new school year begins in September. This hands-on handover period means you'll shadow your predecessor, ask questions in real time, and get comfortable with the role's systems and routines before taking the lead. No prior board experience is required - just a willingness to learn and a commitment to supporting quality early childhood education in our community. |
