| Organizational Description: | Project Linus Canada is a registered Canadian charity whose mission is to make and give new, handmade blankets to local children and youth who are in need of comfort, due to trauma caused by serious illness, abuse, grief or a traumatic event. Winnipeg chapter collects new handmade blankets from a number of volunteers and distributes them to our partner organizations who work with children and youth such as Toba Centre, Spence Neighbourhood Association, Ode'min (Birthing Centre) and others. We annually donate over 500 blankets to local children and youth. |

| Description of Duties: | We need more help! We would love to have someone take the initiative to post on our social media platform (Facebook page) as well as investigate other opportunities to introduce our organization to volunteer seekers such as high schools and senior centres or groups. Our current volunteer admin base concentrates on the process of taking in handmade blankets, washing, labeling and finding home for them which is our main mission. We do not have the band width for finding more volunteers in this small group. |
