| Organizational Description: | The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) was established in 1997 as a non-profit organization with a vision to provide a structured basketball league for Winnipeg area youth, open for all to participate. The league tipped off with 40 teams, based out of 12 Community Centers. The WMBA now supports over 200 teams and offers 6 leagues and programs, spanning all age groups. |

| Description of Duties: | General Member of the WMBA Board of Directors comprised of 12 members. Portfolios are assigned but include membership in subcommittees including the Annual Hoopfest event, the Awards Committee, the Discipline Committee and the Promotion and Marketing Committee |
| Skills Required: | General knowledge of non-profit and charity operations. Knowledge and experience in the Basketball Community in terms of issues and opportunities available to the WMBA. |
